Methodological Design for the Viability and Feasibility of Sustainable Construction of Social Interest Housing (VIS) Projects in Municipalities Surrounding Bogotá, D.C.

This study aimed to develop a management methodology for the implementation of Circular Economy models in Low-Income Housing (VIS) projects in Bogotá D.C. An initial literature review identified applicable models and best management practices for the construction sector. Subsequently, an exploratory study was conducted, involving key stakeholders in the VIS construction sector in the city to understand their experiences, opinions, and needs regarding the adoption of Circular Economy principles. The results indicated that the implementation of these principles could reduce environmental impact and promote more sustainable use of natural resources in VIS construction. Furthermore, experts agreed that the proposed methodology could facilitate the adoption of sustainable practices, driving innovation and improving sector competitiveness, as this approach has significant potential to enhance the efficiency of Low-Income Housing construction processes in Bogotá
